So, I've been thinking on how to start networking with other artists, or even just crawling out from under my rock to just meet new people. I'm setting the bar pretty low, as in I'm willing to settle for finding out about people and gaining a reputation via the internet, but it seems, at least within the confines of DA, that bar's still REALLY high.

I tried the forums, but you're only allowed to SEE the, what is it, 20-50 most recent threads in each section? It's completely ludicrous to not be able to go through pages of older posts on a site that literally has MILLIONS of people on it and TENS OF THOUSANDS of posts and pieces of content coming in every FEW SECONDS. Basically, unless you're already uber-popular, you're not going to get very far with what DA provides here.

But then I don't know where to turn to meet many artistic people or build up any noteriety. The people I already know/have favorited here on DA are up to their eyeballs in RL problems and fans, and I can't nearly be active enough on this site to promote myself, what with college and being an animation major, which equals little to no spare time. I'm going to feel lucky if I can get my most recent stuff scanned in and posted up any time in the near future.

So... I don't know what to do in those regards. I could try Sheezy, but I only know all of one person there, that and I don't feel like trying to update/keep track of two galleries at once. x.x;
